IP Routing
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
BGP performs interdomain routing in Transmission-Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networks. BGP is an exterior gateway protocol (EGP), which means that it performs routing between multiple autonomous systems or domains and exchanges routing and reachability information with other BGP systems.
Cisco Optimized Edge Routing (OER)
Classless Interdomain Routing (CIDR)
Classless interdomain routing. IP addressing technique supported by BGP4 and based on route aggregation. CIDR allows routers to group routes together to minimize the quantity of routing information carried by the core routers.
Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
Enhanced IGRP provides compatibility and seamless interoperation with IGRP routers. An automatic-redistribution mechanism allows IGRP routes to be imported into Enhanced IGRP, and vice versa, so it is possible to add Enhanced IGRP gradually into an existing IGRP network.
Integrated Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS)
Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System. OSI link-state hierarchical routing protocol based on DECnet Phase V routing, whereby ISs (routers) exchange routing information based on a single metric, to determine network topology.
Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (IGRP)
IGRP is a distance-vector interior gateway protocol (IGP). Distance-vector routing protocols call for each router to send all or a portion of its routing table in a routing-update message at regular intervals to each of its neighboring routers.

Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is a routing protocol developed for Internet Protocol (IP) networks by the interior gateway protocol (IGP) working group of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
Routing Information Protocol (RIP)
The Routing Information Protocol (RIP) is a distance-vector protocol that uses hop count as its metric. RIP is widely used for routing traffic in the global Internet and is an interior gateway protocol (IGP), which means that it performs routing within a single autonomous system.

BGP es un protocolo de pasarela exterior (EGP), lo que significa que realiza el enrutamiento entre múltiples sistemas autónomos o de los dominios y los intercambios de información de enrutamiento y accesibilidad con otros sistemas BGP.

Sin clases Interdomain Routing (CIDR)
Encaminamiento de interdominios sin clases. Técnica de las direcciones IP con el apoyo de BGP4 y basado en la agregación de ruta. CIDR permite que los routers de las rutas se agrupan para reducir al mínimo la cantidad de información de enrutamiento realizado por los routers de núcleo.
Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
IGRP mejorada proporciona la compatibilidad y la interoperabilidad sin fisuras con los routers IGRP. Un mecanismo automático de redistribución de las rutas de IGRP permite que se importen en Enhanced IGRP, y viceversa, así que es posible añadir IGRP mejorado gradualmente en una red IGRP existentes.
Sistema Integrado de Intermedio-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS)
Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System. Enlace OSI-estado protocolo de enrutamiento jerárquico de enrutamiento basado en DECnet la fase V, en la que la ISS (routers) el intercambio de información de enrutamiento basado en un único métricas, para determinar la topología de red.
Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (IGRP)
IGRP es una distancia interior de protocolo de vector de puerta de enlace (IGP). Distancia protocolos de enrutamiento por vector de llamada para cada router para enviar la totalidad o una parte de su tabla de enrutamiento en el enrutamiento de mensajes de actualización a intervalos regulares para cada uno de sus routers vecinos.

RIP es ampliamente utilizado para el encaminamiento del tráfico en la Internet global, y es un protocolo de pasarela interior (IGP), lo que significa que realiza el enrutamiento dentro de un sistema autónomo único.
